Silverado, ready for Michigan

From Michigan to Largo

This Chevy Silverado 3500HD came all the way from Michigan for three days in our Largo, Florida shop. Under the inspection lights, the white paint showed circular wash marring across the rear doors. The owner wanted a full paint correction and ceramic coating, with additional protection for the windshield and leather before the truck heads back north.

Full paint correction

Trim taped off, then a compounding stage to cut the swirls out of the clear coat, and a finishing polish to clear the haze compound leaves behind. Checked under the same lights after each step.

Exterior ceramic coating

With the white paint corrected, we ceramic coated the whole truck. The coating sits on top of the clear coat, so snow, slush and road salt hit the coating instead of bare paint. That matters on a truck that spends its winters in Michigan.

Windshield ceramic coating

The windshield got its own ceramic coating. Water beads on the treated glass, which helps in rain and slush on the long drive between Michigan and Florida.

Leather ceramic coating

The leather seats got a ceramic coating too. On a heavy-duty truck that makes long highway runs and sees winter boots, the seats take daily use.

Result

Under the same inspection lights, the corrected white paint now shows clean reflections instead of circular marring. The Silverado leaves with ceramic coating on the paint, windshield and leather.

Michigan winters, Florida maintenance

The truck is heading back to Michigan for the winter, where it will see snow, slush and road salt. Regular washing to remove salt buildup remains part of caring for the finish. The owner plans to return to Florida every 6–8 months for maintenance and a coating checkup. We appreciate the trust it takes to bring a vehicle all the way from Michigan, and we look forward to keeping this Silverado looking its best when it returns.
